Nearby Attractions

There is so much to the Isle of Skye. Whether you are here to experience the rugged outdoors or just get away for a quiet few days we have it all on the Island.

The Old Man of Storr.

One of the most iconic images of Skye.  The walk can offer stunning views of the Island and over to Torridon on the mainland.  Generally the walk can take 3-4 hours and it is a must if you would like to see the Island at its best.  We are about half an hours drive from the Storr.

BOAT TRIPS
www.puffinsandwhales.co.uk offer daily sailings out to see puffins and whales.
The puffin trips start in mid April once they arrive back from the Atlantic, and the whales generally return in June/July.
You might also be lucky and spot sea eagles or a golden eagle.

THE QUIRAING

Another beautiful walk.  The Quiraing is just 5 miles away and has been the setting for several films over the last few years (Stardust, Transformers and Hamlet)

The loop is just under 7km and takes 2-3 hours to complete.

CATCH THE FERRY TO THE WESTERN ISLES

The ferry crossing only takes 1hr 40 minutes - and in summer it is possible to take a day trip over to both Harris and Uist.

DUNVEGAN

Open from Easter until mid October Dunvegan Castle is the home of the Clan MacLeod, who have been in residence at there for over 800 years.

The castle is set within a 5 acre garden and has a restaurant and gift shop.  There are local boat trips to see the seals nearby.

Close by is the picturesque Coral Beach and Neist Point Lighthouse, which is at the most westerly point of the Island
